Here is the whole book- find your passion. Connect with others through social media. Be yourself and let your personality shine through. Use every platform out there.
Contact people. Post more content. Contact them again. Post even more. Cross fingers. Seemed like an 8 hour lesson on common sense with stories written by others that flip-flop between first second and third person.
This is with most books, but for some reason I was really expecting this to be super dense. For me, it seemed just as sparse as most books because it was littered with story after story of anecdotal information. I personally prefer specific step-by-step strategies or fact based information.
The rest are stories from others. With that being said, maybe I missed something. A book completely filled with testimonials about his Crush It book. A waste of time and money. I ended up increasing the narration speed to to try and get to good content I honestly didn't learn anything about social media marketing. Any motivation that I would have gained was ruined by all the testimonial reviews of his previous book. I feel dooped and will be asking for a refund Story after story of how people successfully implemented his first book.
This is not an updated improved version but a victory lap that I spent my money to listen too. This book adds NO value. Save your money. Redundant and repetitive anecdotal narratives. A bit over rated actually. To many hypothetical scenarios story telling that drag on way to long. What if A couple, takes up dancing, but is over weight, then starts exercising, then makes a YouTube videos, then gives advice, then strengthens their marriage, then gets picked up by a TV station, then invents dance moves, then becomes millionaires etc etc etc.
I was only able to make it to before I had to give up on this "book". The summary of the book leads you to believe it falls into the self-help category, but in reality this "book" is just a big sales pitch for the author's first book Crush It. It's just the author, and other folks who read the author's first book, talking about why Crush It is so awesome and how it changed their lives. This is not what I thought the book would be. I am 53 and I have built a social media marketing agency that caters to the automotive industry.
I am an anomaly in this industry; however, I have defined goals and strategies to kill it in this arena.
I am discovering how to develop my personal brand instead of building just the company brand. This book is perfect. No Exaggeration!! I enjoyed this book more than I could ever have imagined.
I took so much information and energy away from it. It felt like we were having a conversation. I loved it. I was so excited when the audio launched despite having the book as well. This is awesome content as it has a few updated tips since the book came out. This is not only for entrepreneurial minds to be able to listen to when you time poor like I am. I love Gary's stuff, but this book is appalling. The countless number of stories about how people are "crushing it" becomes repetitive and boring.
Garys input is not as good as his previous books. Im afraid the content has very little substance. I guess it is meant for motivational purposes rather than going into details of building a successful business. I expected this to be a book by Gary V. It's like one big, long ad for another book. The stories are still inspiring to a degree and the narration etc is great great to have Rich Roll in there , but if you are looking for a guidance the recurring theme seems to be to go and read 'crush it' instead.
Nothing against Gary V either, I'd highly recommend reading his book 'jab, jab right hook' instead. So, in the blurb Gary V promises to unleash the tools to teach you how to be an internet savvy business or brand owner with a decent grasp on how to make all the social media platforms work for you and increase your exposure to new customers. What you actually get is an 8 hour long advert for his other book confusing as it's called 'crush it' There are repeated references to 'crush it' and it took quite some time for me to grasp he was actually talking about a completely different book, not referencing a system he was later to reveal in this book crushing it Basically he introduces a host of people who are 'crushing it' by using the principles laid out in his other book crush it but doesn't actually explain what those principles are in this book crushing it.
I have wasted 8 hours of my life with this well 6 actually as I gave up on it before the end and hope to save you from doing the same. He keeps talking about crush it. Not for me, this is for someone with no talent and who has a hobby such as playing a video game and being a social influencer from it.
Author spends a lot of time repeating how good the book is. Overall it is a decent audiobook. A bit slow so listened to it at x1. Considering how much hype Gary Vee has gotten over the last year it's obvious people including myself would be excited about this. I got this as my free audiobook from Audible because fucked if I'm gonna pay for what I probably already knew from following Gary on social. It was nice to hear him narrating his own book but my god he is so annoying to listen to.
Seriously, you sound like a 3rd grader in reading class. Furthermore, while I like hearing 1st person stories of people who "made it", Jesus Christ do they also become tedious. Wow, never heard that one before! We get it, the internet is a huge opportunity. Content, engagement, hard work etc etc will get you a long way.
I almost gagged how cheesy that platform is. Oh and saying "never bet against Facebook"? Were you born yesterday? Its one thing to use it for business but as for personal I would avoid at all costs. We got your message, now go away and enjoy your millions of dollars. If you just want to hear success story after story after story no content nothing valuable about the steps taken to get there then go ahead and waste your time on this book what a snore feat!
Long time follower of GV on his Podcasts and Youtube Channel, was a little hesitant buying the book after reading some of the reviews and I'm honestly wishing I could return this Book. It's mostly an Ad for his previous book Crush It mixed in with a few stories of people who have succeeded using by reading his previous book.
Save the money and watch the Youtube channel and Podcasts, they are better formatted than this book. Loved the book. Everyone should read and listen to it.
Most relevant book on how to use social media effectively. It resembled checking out the ultimate investing mastermind … however he had not been buying supplies this time which he did, and extremely well in fact instead he was buying the creative minds of culture!
Legacy play. Throughout component II, I was consulted with example after example of individuals that have accomplished the results I so seriously need, but they were out functioning my 10X even X in some cases. Audiobook Free. Actually, if you think you strive, read this book. You can constantly be doing a lot more. Every one! After that he damages them down into 3 categories. If one enjoys doing something they are more likely to put in their best efforts to ensure that it succeeds.
People who work on something which is their passion do not get bogged down by the work and related pressures, they enjoy it. Vaynerchuk does not give assurances that people working on their passions will become rich overnight. He only says that people working on their passion are more likely to grow their businesses into a money-making a reality.
The book is an easy read and can be completed in a couple of sittings. Though the book was published in , it is still relevant in the current context. The writing used is simple and honest which connects with the readers. The author is clear and honest about what it takes to build a personal brand using the techniques suggested by him.
